First Corinthians

FIRST CORINTHIANS

A verse by verse study by
Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk.

The purpose of this class is to give you a comprehensive verse by verse understanding of the book of First Corinthians.  You will study, in detail, the teachings of the book and briefly touch upon some of the heresies so prevalent today that are in contradiction to the teachings of God as revealed through the Apostle Paul to the Corinthian Church and, by extension, to all churches from the first century to today and on until the coming of our Lord.

  • METHOD OF STUDY:
Student is required to read the text, "First Corinthians," by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk and the book of First Corinthians in the Bible.  The student is required to look up and read all scriptures referenced in the textbook from the KJV Bible while completing the textbook.  There will be a final test at the end of the course.  Test will be open book.
  • ATTENDANCE: Student is required to sign in and mark the form "Begin" when starting the course and to continue in the course for a minimum of 16 weeks and to study approximately one chapter of First Corinthians per week both in the textbook and concurrently in the King James Bible.  Some long chapters will take somewhat longer than one week and some short chapters will take somewhat less; but one week per chapter should be the average.  After completion of the workbook and the concurrent reading of First Corinthians in the King James Bible, the student is then required to sign in again and mark the form "Finished" before proceeding to the Final Test.
  • GRADING: All tests receive equal weight.
  • Sign-in before you start unless you have already done so previously.

  • READ REQUIRED TEXT: First Corinthians by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk
You may download the textbook from our library or you can simply read it online.

READ THE BIBLE BOOK OF FIRST CORINTHIANS- (KJV only) paralleling your textbook work.
After reading the entire textbook and the book of First Corinthians in the Bible, looking up and reading all scriptures referenced in the textbook, then sign in and mark the form "Finish," and then retrieve the password and take the final test.  Final Test is open book.

  • FINAL TEST:
    -
Read and submit the Testing Instructions form if you have not already done so.
Once you have completed all sections of the textbook, then you may Retrieve the Password and, upon receiving the Password, take the Final Test for the course.
Once you pass the final test do not take it again.
If you miss any questions on the Final Test, even though you passed it, then you need to review the textbook and/or the book of I Corinthians in your Bible (whichever is appropriate for the questions you missed) and find the correct answers to the questions you missed.

If you fail the final test then you need to restudy the textbook and/or the book of I Corinthians in the Bible (whichever is appropriate for the questions you missed). Find the correct answers to all of the questions you missed on the Final Test, then retake the test. Repeat this process until you pass the Final Test and then follow the instructions above concerning any questions you may have missed.
ATTENTION:  If you fail the test, you MAY NOT attempt that test again on the same day.  You must restudy the textbook/workbook and find all of the correct answers to the questions missed and then retake the test no sooner than the next day.
