SOUL WINNING PRACTICUM I. & II.
A practical class to teach you the basics of how to go about leading a soul to Christ. This class is a Bible-based, step by step guide to teach you the method, give you the practice, and encourage you in the performing of the duty that Christ gives to you personally. And that duty is soul-by-soul evangelism.
There are two sections to this course. The first section, Soul Winning Practicum I., is required for all students. The second section, Soul Winning Practicum II., is not required; but it is suggested that all students take it at least once.
SOUL WINNING PRACTICUM I.
This course is required for all students.
Please SIGN IN for this course if you have not already done so on a previous page.
Please download and print a Course Record Form for this course. On it you will keep information about your progress in this course. You will need some of that information for later forms and it will also help keep you informed about your progress in this course.
In this class we will pursue the goal of learning a biblical method of leading someone to Christ.
The
Textbook is divided into eight sections. Not more than one section
may be completed
each week. At the end of each section you
will stop and take the Section Test that corresponds with the section
you just finished studying. Some of the section tests are “open book,” which means you may use your textbook
while taking the tests, and some of them are "closed book" which means
you must do them strictly from memory. For "closed book" tests
you cannot use your textbook nor any other type of material to help you while
taking the test. Nor can you have someone coach you in any way during the
test.
You must submit
a Closed
Book Test
Contract Form before taking each "closed book"
test. You will then be sent the password for the test.
Attendance:
Course attendance: Minimum
attendance for this entire course is 8 weeks.
Lesson attendance: Minimum
attendance for each lesson in this course is 1 week.
Credits: Course is worth 1 credit.
Testing:
ALL TESTS IN THIS COURSE ARE ACTIVE AND MUST BE COMPLETED
Make sure you read
and submit the Testing Instructions form if you
have not already done so.
- Name entry on tests: Students are required to use proper letter-case when inputting their names on all submissions to the college. Example: If your name is John Smith, then input John Smith, not john smith or JOHN SMITH. If you do not use proper letter-case when you
input your name on a test, then the test will be Disallowed and discarded.
- You
MAY NOT take
any test more than once on any one day but must wait until on or after the next day
to repeat the test should you not receive a passing score. That day is to be used to find all of the correct answers in your textbook or KJV Bible, whichever is appropriate for the question, for every question missed on the test. You must do this before attempting the test again on the next day.
- The test question answers must be exactly the wording of the textbook or your KJV Bible, whichever is appropriate for the question.
Final Test: This test is
closed book!
- Once you have completed all sections of the textbook and passed all of the corresponding
tests, and found the correct answers to any questions missed on any test, then you may
submit a "Finish" sign in form, submit a Closed Book Test
Contract Form to retrieve the password and, upon receiving the password, take the Final Test for the
course.
- Final Test is "closed book" and you must submit the Closed Book Test
Contract Form to receive the password before taking the test.
- There is a
30 minute time
limit on the test. You will see a time remaining clock in the upper right
hand corner of the test screen. Time does not start until your first
question comes on the screen.
-
If you fail the test, then restudy the textbook/workbook and find the
correct answers to all questions for which you gave a wrong answer. You must repeat the Final
Test as many times as necessary for you to receive a passing grade; but
you may not take this or any other test in this course more than once on any one day. One day minimum is to be taken between all takes and retakes and the time is to be spent finding the correct answers in your study materials.

SOUL WINNING PRACTICUM II.
This course is not required but it is suggested that all students take it at least once.
In this course you will teach someone else the Soul Winning Practicum I. course.
You may take this course up to 4 times.
Please submit Begin and Finish Sign In forms each time you teach this course to someone in its entirety. Do not submit the Begin Sign In forms until after the pastors involved have submitted their Pastor Ministry Confirmation forms according to the instructions below.
Please download and print a Course Record Form for this course each time that you take. On it you will keep information about your progress in this course. You will need some of that information for later forms and it will also help keep you informed about your progress in this course.
In this class we will pursue
the goal of you teaching someone the biblical method of leading someone to Christ that you learned in section one of this class.
Pastor's
permission form: Before you teach this course to someone you must have the permission of your pastor and their
pastor. Show your pastor the material you are going to use to teach them, which is the Soul Winning Practicum textbook, and let him know you have already gone through
the Soul Winning Practicum class and that you are familiar enough with it to know how to properly use it to teach someone else. If he
agrees you can disciple the person, then have him use the Pastor
Ministry Confirmation form that he can submit
online. Under "Ministries" have him input:
"Permission for student to teach the Soul Winning Practicum course to [name of person you are
going to teach]."
- The person you are teaching probably will be a member of the Church where you are a member.
- If they are
not a member of your church, then you will need your pastor's
permission for you to teach them and you will need the permission of
their pastor for them to be taught by you. In that case, a Pastor
Ministry Confirmation form is needed from your pastor
for you stating he has given "Permission for student to teach the Soul Winning Practicum course to [name of person you are
going to teach]" and one from their pastor stating that
"[Name of person you are going to teach] has permission to take the Soul Winning Practicum course from [your name]." This is assuming they are a member of some
church.
- If they are not a member of any church, then you will
only need your pastor's permission for you to teach the course to them. Make
sure the pastor(s) submit your name as the name of the student and the
name of the one you are going to teach in the
"Ministries" box.
- Your pastor knows if you are mature enough to teach someone else. The decision is up to them. Do not be
angry with them if they refuse to give you their permission.
If they say, "No," then realize they are doing it for your own
good and for the good of the one to whom you want to teach the course. Should
your pastor say no, then ask him when he thinks you will be ready to teach this course to someone. Maybe he can give you some material to help
you mature to the point you need to properly and biblically teach someone else this course. Discuss it with your pastor in a
non-confrontational manner and remember that God says they must give
an answer for your soul. In other words your pastor is
responsible to God for your growth toward maturity; and if they
don't believe you are ready to take on the job and responsibility of teaching someone, then gracefully bow to their leadership and
authority. In no way be rebellious or resentful concerning
their decision. Simply appreciate their love and care for you
and respect their authority in this matter.
If your pastor, and the
pastor of the person you wish to teach should they be a member of
another church, agree, then you may submit your Begin Sign In form for this course on
the day that the Pastor Ministry Confirmation forms are submitted by
them. Find out the date they submitted the forms so that you will know when you can submit your Begin Sign In form and start your attendance.
Instructions for study:
The person you teach will need to take the course that you took, following the same instructions that you followed. However, rather than taking the course online they will take it with you as the teacher. They will go online to take their tests but you will keep track of their scores in a notebook and report to me when they have finished the
course. They must meet the same minimum attendance per lesson and minimum attendance for the course requirements that you had to meet in the Soul Winning Practicum I. course.
These are the instructions they are to follow. Explain these instructions to them.
