Instructions

1. Enter the information as per the instructions on the form.
Erase the instructions on the form before submitting the form.

2. Write your outline directly into the form; or, write the outline in a word processor and then cut and paste it into the form.  A third alternative is to send the word processor file as an attachment to an email.

3. Page formatting is automated for documents submitted online except for the following:
    Indent- automatic indent is not available on the form.
        Please manually indent 4 spaces when necessary in the outline.
        Do NOT use the indent key, enter the indent as 4 spaces.

Use the following format to whatever depth you need.

INTRODUCTION:  This would be your opening remarks.

(More main points (i.e., "IV." "V." etc.) can be added if necessary following the rules set out in this sample. CAUTION: Use only the parts of this sample outline that you need for your outline. Don't make your outline any more complicated than necessary.)

THE CLOSE OR CONCLUSION (In a sermon this would include the INVITATION.)


CRITIQUE:
Some classes require a self-critique of your live presentation of this speech.  Include the critique here at the end of the outline.  If it is not required for the class, then ignore this section of the instructions.
