NOTES:
The following are approximate time frames.
Depending on the number of courses a student takes in
1 year the time frame will increase or decrease accordingly.
Students are to scan and submit any transcripts from previous Colleges
or Institutes if they have copies of those transcripts on hand, for pre-

if credits are transferable. At that time the student can have
the official copy of the transcript sent to us directly.
All transfer credits from previous educational institutions will
be added to the student's file when we receive an official

FEES: All
courses are offered tuition-free. All study materials are
available online at no cost to the students. (Our study
materials are free for our regular courses; however, some minors may
entail study-materials that we do not offer online. Those
materials will have to be obtained by the students.)
FIRST-WORLD STUDENTS: There is an Administrative Fee of
$15.00 USD per month for students from first-world countries.
Students from other than first-world countries are automatically
exempt from that fee. A waiver is available for first-world
students for whom the Administrative Fee would be a financial
burden. Waivers are gladly granted to those who request
them. We do not want the fee to be a burden to anyone.
On the other hand, we do want those who can afford the fee to pay it
so that all students can have access to our degree programs.

MINORS:
-
Listed
Minors - We offer minors in
Christian Education, Christian Literature, and Counseling.
In contrast to the free courses that utilize public domain textbooks
or textbooks for which permission from the author has been obtained
for their free use by our students, some of these minors require
studies utilizing textbooks that are not in the public domain or
ones for which the authors have not granted permission for their
free use by our students. The student will have to have access to those textbooks and, therefore, there probably will be a
textbook cost associated with some of those courses unless the student can gain access through other means, such as finding the book at a library. There will be no
tuition cost to the student.
-
Unlisted Minors - If
a student has a desire to have a minor in a field not listed, it may
be possible to earn that minor if the student has enough transfer
credits in that particular field from an approved educational
institution to add to our online course credits relating to that
minor. Please check with us to
discuss details concerning any particular minor not in the regular
list.

SPECIAL
DEGREE PROGRAMS in FOREIGN LANGUAGES
We have
instituted a special program for foreign language students.
Our goal is to offer degrees to those who speak languages other than
English. This will be facilitated by means of partnering with
schools that offer courses in various other languages.
Eventually we hope to have partner schools teaching in a multitude
of foreign languages around the world to increase the availability
of learning the Word of God for those for whom English is not their
preferred language for learning. This program is formulated so
that all students will still take the required 32 credits of courses
from SLBC to meet our requirements. The remainder of the
credits required for the various degrees will be transferred from
the partner schools into SLBC to enable the students to earn their
degrees. The partner schools are not affiliated with SLBC in
any way other than a reciprocal agreement for recognition by the
partner schools of credits earned in the other partner school.
CHINESE
SLBC
partnership with GTI in Malaysia for Chinese-speaking students
worldwide via the Internet.
-
Christian
Counseling Degrees - (only for Chinese-speaking students) - Bachelor, Master, and Doctor
We have partnered with Grace Theological
Institute to offer a major in Counseling for students who speak Chinese. Dr. Chong is in charge of this special
program. Grace Theological can be accessed from GTI's website
at http://gracetheologicalinstitute.org
For this special partnership program,
students will earn 32 credits from Salt Lake Bible College online,
which we require of all students, and the rest of the credits will
be transferred from the courses which the students take from Grace
Theological Institute. Students must read and
speak Chinese fluently to qualify for this special program.
The program will be offered worldwide via the Internet. The courses which the students take
from us online for this special course of study are free, except for
the cost of the textbooks. However, Grace Theological
Institute, as a separate educational institution, does charge
tuition. Our partnership with GTI is that we have agreed
to a reciprocal agreement where each school will accept the transfer
credits that the students earn from the other school.
ISSUANCE
of CERTIFICATE or DEGREES
The question has been asked concerning, "How do I receive my degree?"
The following will answer that question along with others of a similar nature concerning degrees earned.
Credit requirement:
Each degree has a credit requirement. These can be found on this current page along with approximate time-frames to earn those credits. (See listings above.)
Thesis:
Each degree level from Bachelor through Doctorate requires a thesis of a
required size and content on a subject appropriate for the type of degree
sought.
Type of degree, (Christian Ministries, Theology, Divinity, etc.):
The type of degree you are pursuing is up to you. All students take the basic courses. The difference between the degrees is in some of the latter courses which will be required for certain degrees plus the thesis that you will write to earn your Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degrees.
The following are issued as email attachments upon request by the students:

How to find your Current credit level and GPA at any time:
1. You can find your current level by adding all of the credits from your Course Record forms which you were required to keep for all courses that you study. Add all of the credits earned listed on those forms to compute your overall credit level.
2. To find your overall score/grade for each individual course, compute a simple average of all tests taken in that course, including your Final Test for that course.
3. To find your aggregate score average, compute a simple average of the overall scores/grades from your Course Record forms for all of the courses taken thus far.
WHEN STUDENT IS ELIGIBLE FOR a CERTIFICATE or a DEGREE:
When you are have reached one of the Certificate or Degree levels, please contact me
for an assessment of your eligibility and we will issue the appropriate Certificate or Degree.
NEW
MOODLE SITE IS IN PROGRESS of CONSTRUCTION:
We are currently rearranging the online record-keeping system so that students can access their records online at any time. This will take
many months to effect the change-over because it will entail hundreds of hours to facilitate it. When the change-over is completed a general email will be sent out informing students of the completion of the change-over and instructions concerning how to
register for their User Name and ID so they can access their records in the new record-keeping system.
Currently,
all new students from September 19, 2013 forward are on the new moodle system
except for a few which asked for and were granted a Special Course of Study.
