Project must entail a minimum of 32 hours of research over a minimum period of 26 weeks and a maximum period of 30 weeks (6 months).  If student finds they are going to go beyond the maximum of 30 weeks then they must notify us and request an extension of 5 additional weeks for a total of 35 weeks for research and composition.  Only one such extension is allowed.

NOTE:  Although you will earn credits for your thesis, those credits cannot be applied toward the minimum 32 credits that must be earned from us for all students working toward a degree.  The 32 credits required must be earned through course work.
   Also, although students will receive credits for each degree thesis that is accepted by SLBC, those credits will not be applied to the current degree level for which the thesis is submitted.  However, if the student continues on toward a higher degree, then the credits for the current degree thesis will be applied toward the credit requirements for that higher degree.
